Review: Glee 3D - The Motion Picture Soundtrack

What can be written about Glee that hasn't been written before?

If you love it, you love it. If you don't like it, whatever I write about the 'Glee 3D - The Motion Picture Soundtrack' is unlikely to change your mind.

I started off as a big fan of Glee - and I saw my own two children get a real interest in songs they would never have heard of without it.

But now I've found out that rather than listening to Journey's 'Don't Stop Believin'' or Florence Against the Machine's 'Dog Days Are Over', they just want to listen to the Glee version instead.

And that's the problem. At the core this is just an album of cover versions - some that are good and some that are pretty ordinary.

There are some very talented singers in the Glee crowd and they get to extend their vocal chords on occasion.

But this is a pretty poor line-up of songs compared to some they've sung on the show and aside from some replay value for my kids it has little redeeming value to me.

If you loved the film, you'll love the soundtrack. Otherwise give it a wide berth.
