60th Anniversary of Sir Edmund Hillary

TVNZ Heartland is celebrating the anniversary of Sir Edmund Hillary’s conquest of Everest on 29 May 1953, with a raft of in-depth programmes celebrating the man and the legend. Beginning with ‘Good Day – Sir Edmund Hillary’ at 6.30pm, a revealing 1979 interview with Sir Edmund followed by ‘Next Encounter – Sir Edmund Hillary’ at 8pm which uncovers Hillary's remarkable work in Nepal. Then, ‘Off The Beaten Track’ at 8.30pm gives an intimate look at Sir Edmund Hillary as he goes on a journey to remote New Zealand.

In 1989, software engineer and the CEO of ENCOM International, Kevin Flynn, disappeared. 20 years later, his tech-savvy son Sam decides to look into his father's disappearance. Sam soon finds himself pulled into a digital universe of fierce programs and gladiatorial games where his father has been living for the past 20 years. Sam must navigate the exceedingly dangerous cyber universe if he and his father are to make it back to the real world.

When Standing makes a discovery about another teacher, the team realise that they're dealing with a much wider and more complicated series of crimes that go back many years.
