Morrissey has caused another storm of controversy - this time for allegedly comparing last weekend's shootings in Oslo to KFC and McDonald's.
The singer was performing at a concert in Warsaw when he reportedly made the following comments to the crowd:
"We all live in a murderous world, as the events in Norway have shown, with 97 dead (sic).
"Though that is nothing compared to what happens in McDonald's and Kentucky Fried sh*t every day."
The former Smiths front man has long been an animal rights activist and has made other controversial statements around the issue, including calling Chinese people a "sub-species" over their treatment of animals.
His latest comments have sparked outrage on social networking sites like Twitter.
However, Morrissey's spokesperson told the Guardian newspaper: "There is no more to say on the matter, thank you."

Hes a cr...ap singer.
ReplyMorrissey should realise that in order for people to give up KFC and McDonalds, would require human beings to have a sense of altruism. Yeah right!
Replyhe is right fast food an shit diet kills way way more people but that can not be considered when this type of act happens
ReplyHe's dead right. All the sooks who think his comments are "insensitive" should get over themselves. Did he come out supporting what happened at Oslo? No, he didn't. He was not saying that what happened at Oslo makes McSh@t and KF@#KSH@T okay - he was saying the exact opposite. People need to learn how to read.
ReplyOne horrific incident does not cancel out another.
