Wellington, July 1 NZPA – American rocker Meat Loaf will serve up to his New Zealand fans this spring.
The musician announced today that he will play at the TSB Bank Arena in Wellington on October 26, Bay Park Arena in Tauranga on October 28, and Vector Arena, Auckland, on October 29.
The singer, real name Michael Lee Aday, burst onto the world music stage in 1977 with his release Bat Out Of Hell, which transformed him from a stage actor into a rock ‘n’ roll icon.
The album has sold more than 43 million copies worldwide and is one of the best selling albums of all times.
Ahead of his New Zealand tour dates, Meat Loaf is preparing for the release of his new album, Hell In A Handbasket, which is due in October. Tickets go on sale on July 13.
