Hollywood's love affair with vampires continues in Colin Farrell's latest project, a remake of 'Fright Night'.

Farrell plays the role of intriguing stranger Jerry, who moves in next door to high school senior Charlie Brewster (played by Anton Yelchin).

Jerry seems like a great guy at first, but there's something not quite right. After witnessing some very unusual activity, Charlie comes to an unmistakable conclusion: Jerry is a vampire preying on the neighbourhood.

Unable to convince anyone that he's telling the truth, Charlie has to find a way to get rid of the monster himself in this Craig Gillespie-helmed revamp of the comedy-horror classic.

As can be seen in these character banners released online this week, featuring Yelchin, Farrell, David Tennant (who plays vampire-hunter Peter Vincent) and Imogen Poots, the action promises to be bloody!

'Fright Night' is due for release in New Zealand on October 27 - just in time for Halloween.
