Controversial snaps of Kate and Wills’ Seychelles holiday surface, Heath Ledger’s dad gives Jason Segel the big tick, and 'Fifty Shades of Grey' author Erika Leonard (yet again) shares a bit too much information in this week’s mags.

A snap of Duchess Kate looking terrifically taut in a black bikini on the cover of this week’s Woman’s Day undoubtedly puts to bed rumours that she has a bun in that flat-as-a-pancake oven.

Oh, but wait, the pictures of her and her floral-boardshort sporting Prince strolling hand-in-hand along the beach and frolicking in the surf, enjoying ‘the ultimate romantic holiday’ aren’t recent shots of the royal couple, but rather snaps of the pair while on their honeymoon in the Seychelles last May.

Despite requesting a media ‘blackout’ and enlisting an extensive security team in an effort to keep pesky paps at bay, a long lens still managed to secure shots of the blissfully unaware couple, which have somewhat bizarrely failed to hit the tabloids up until now.

The Australian Woman’s Day ran the exclusive photos last week, igniting international debate over whether or not their publication was disrespectful to the newlyweds and the late princess Diana, given the circumstances surrounding her death 15 years ago.

While the grainy snaps have now been splashed across the internet, like their counterparts, the Day obviously thought featuring the pics was worth their while – not to mention the princely sum that would have changed hands somewhere along the way.

In other news, the mag reports that Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis have gone public with their alleged romance, and feature pics of what appears to be the former 'That '70s Show' co-stars getting cosy during Fourth of July celebrations at Ashton’s family home.

"They basically live together and seem to be moving forward with their relationship," reveals a source. "They’re inseparable."

Not only has Jason Segel won the hearts of Michelle Williams and her six-year-old daughter Matilda, but he’s now also got the seal of approval of Kim Ledger – the dad of her former partner, the late Heath Ledger. Awww!

"It’s lovely to have such a nice guy in Michelle’s life," says Australian-based Kim, who will meet the actor later this year.

"Matilda needs a male figure and she has a great connection with Jason, who is a really funny guy." (We’re guessing you haven’t seen that scene in 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' then, Kim?)

He adds: "We couldn’t be happier for her" – and we totally agree – let’s hope this one’s a keeper Michelle!

New Idea leads with the headline "Katie: I fear for my life – Scientology murder scandal" and delves into a number of alleged Scientology-related disappearances, a murder mystery and claims of violence at the hands of the Church’s creepy- looking leader and Tom’s Best friend, David Miscavige - and what 'scared' Katie may have to face in the wake of her carefully orchestrated divorce from her husband of six years.

"The religion has a reputation for not letting defectors cut ties easily," reports the mag, "and allegations of violence go straight to the top."

"David Miscavige dictated Tom’s divorce deal," says anti-cult activist Steven Hassan. "Scientology wanted a gag order as soon as possible to stop further negative comments coming out."

Adds an ex-Scientology member (who survives to now out the controversial religion): "She’s now considered a 'suppressive person' – an enemy of the Church – by Scientologists. That means they have the 'internal power' to go after her in any way they want."

Better to have got out of there late than never Katie, but watch your back girl…

Flip the page to find out more about the woman behind the book that’s on everybody’s lips right now, 'Fifty Shades of Grey.'

Erika Leonard has gone from being a suburban housewife to a millionaire in a matter of months all thanks to her racy fantasy novel - but not everyone in her household is thrilled with her sudden rise to prominence.

"I’ve got two teenage sons and they’re mortified...they don’t want to think about the fact that their mother writes about sex," Erika says.

Gawd, imagine the playground taunts, poor kids.

While the author says her relationship with husband Niall is different to the one between Christian and Anastasia portrayed in her book, she admits, "he’s a willing participant in all the research, and that’s all I’m going to say!"

That’s more than enough sad, lady. Oh to be a fly on the wall in your bedroom. Or not.

Has SuBo jumped on the celeb cosmetic surgery bandwagon?

Unless the Scottish singing sensation has suffered some kind of allergic reaction, she appears to be sporting an undeniable trout pout and cheek lift in a recent photograph.

Meanwhile, Susan’s been told to shut up by a neighbour in her council estate block, who’s taken exception to the singer belting out tunes at all hours of the day. "It’s so loud you can’t hear the telly," grumbles Teresa Miller, who’s made an official complaint to the council.

We’re still wondering why the superstar – who’s fourth album is currently in the pipeline - refuses to dip into her multi-million dollar fortune to buy herself a new pad!?

The NZ Woman’s Weekly covers with a story on netball shooting sensation Irene van Dyk and her mini-me daughter (well, mini by the duo’s standards), Bianca.

When your mum’s the best goal shooter on the planet, you think you’d opt for a completely different career path – but not Bianca, who at 14, is a 6 foot, 2 inch chip off the old block.

"I want to make the Silver Ferns too," says the budding goal shooter, adding that she’s aware of the pressure as the most-capped Silver Fern’s daughter. "When I was 10, if I missed a shot people would say, 'You shouldn’t miss!' But I’m used to it now."

All we can say is you’d better spend some quality time under that goal-post, Bianca!

And that's all from this week's gossip mags!
