4/5
Fairytale and action collide in 'Snow White and the Huntsman' – a dark and twisted take on the traditional story.
Directed by Rupert Sanders, the film is captivating from beginning till end with a stellar cast and ultramodern special effects.
Kristin Stewart adapts from her 'Twilight' character into a fierce and determined warrior princess set to restore confidence in the Kingdom. She is the only one in the land who can destroy Ravenna (Charlize Theron), the Evil Queen who wrongfully assumes power after murdering the King (Snow White’s father). In a desperate mission to preserve her youthful looks and gain eternal life, Ravenna dispatches a huntsman (Chris Hensworth) to steal Snow White’s heart.
The wicked ruler never imagined that the young lady threatening her reign would form a bond with the huntsman who was ordered to kill her, and moreover, begin a battle to conquer her.
The concepts of love, despair and vanity are explored in this unnerving revision of the classic tale. It is a highly entertaining and visually spectacular journey sure to keep you on the edge of your seat.

You lots are overgrown children in 2nd childhood! Leave the fairy tales to kids and let them kindle the youngs' imaginations.
ReplyThe girls watched it at home and found the ending a let-down. They're happy they didn't waste good money. Hmm, I could use some (hint)
ReplyGrumpy!!! Why are you grumpy? You haven't got a Huntsman?
ReplyA Huntsman - what the hell is he hunting for? Where are the feminists when you need their hairy faces? Is he after Snow White? What if the myth of Snow White was de-bunked and she turned out to be black? Would she be known as - Coal Black?
ReplyI think that ants in a kitchen are a real problem. Off to bake a cake.
