Lindsay Lohan as Elizabeth Taylor in the television biopic Liz & Dick is a casting coup if the first official photo is any indication.
Lohan channels the screen legend to perfection in the black and white still.
The photo, released Monday, shows Lohan and New Zealand actor Grant Bowler, who has been cast as Richard Burton, sharing a tender moment.
The biopic from the US cable TV network Lifetime looks at the enduring love story of the two acting greats.
Bowler, 43, is 18 years older than Lohan, however there was a seven-year age gap between Burton and Taylor who married each other twice.
Taylor and Burton co-starred in Cleopatra, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? and The Taming of the Shrew.
"When you see both of them (Lindsay and co-star Grant Bowler) in full hair and make-up, it is the definition of movie magic," executive producer Larry Thompson told PerezHilton.com.
Shooting on the TV film started on Monday.
Bowler plays Wolf in Outrageous Fortune and has appeared in a variety of roles in Australian and US television series.

She,s perfect for the role, for genuine beauty It,s hard to match Liz In her prime, I can,t think of any other woman & the world is full of beautiful women - but who else is there - that could turn so many heads & allure men for 40yrs Liz was just magnificient, not just her looks - but her demeanour, the way she carried herself. So much like Cleopatra would have been like. And I don,t mind saying .. there,s something about Lindsay .. she was so sexy as a teenage star and I,m still Intrigued 10 yrs on - two of my all-time favourite girls
ReplyI would let her drain my balls...
ReplyLindsay looks hot
ReplyI was astonised when Lohan was chosen for the roll of 'Liz' , however it is amazing what a makeup artised can do. She looks the part and I only hope her acting lives up to produces expectations.
ReplyThis photo is not a very good one in order for me to make a decision on whether these two, particularly, Lohan, is Taylor material or not. A front-on view would have been better, but, I suppose they weren't all that confident for a front-on.
