Recent photos of former child star Macaulay Culkin show the actor as a mere shadow of his former self.

In the pictures obtained by ET, Culkin cuts an extremely gaunt figure on the streets of New York.

A representative for the actor, now 31, dismissed speculation about the cause of Culkin's appearance.

"Macaulay Culkin is in perfectly good health," the rep told ET.

Culkin became a child superstar back in 1990 when he played the character of Kevin McCallister in the first 'Home Alone' movie.

He is believed to be currently working on a British film due for release next year.
