Roseanne Barr running for US president

Watch out, Barack Obama.

Actress Roseanne Barr has officially filed the paperwork required to run for President of the United States - as a Green Party candidate.

She left the following message on Twitter following confirmation of her candidacy.

"If ppl will merely do as I tell them to do just this one time, I promise everything will get a lot better quickly 4 the majority. #nutn2lose." (sic)

E! News quotes the national coordinator of the US Green Party, Scott McLarty, as saying: "Our standpoint is that Roseanne is running for the nomination, and we are impartial to all our candidates officially.

"We welcome Roseanne Barr into the race, and she will make it very interesting from what I have seen. Ms Barr wants to say some very serious things in her campaign, and from what I can tell, she is motivated by her own experiences and her desire to see the United States become a much better country."

The US Presidential election takes place in November, with the Green Party due to pick its candidate in July.

What the hell does it matter. The U.S. election is thus far boring. Ron Paul gets my vote, but he is too intelligent to win. Go for it Rosanne, we might as well have some fun along the way, even though Obama will win in the end.
