Quelle surprise! They've been going out for four whole months and already the marriage pot is being stirred up by airhead socialite Paris Hilton and her reality TV boyfriend Doug Reinhardt.

The pair recently spent a week or so on the Cote d'Azur during the Cannes Film Festival. Much posing on yachts and at parties seemed to ensue.

Rumours they were kicked off a yacht belonging to David Furnish for getting jiggy in the bathroom (ewww!) were denied by Hilton this week, but there's no doubt that the pair are talking up a good game when it comes to their romance.

"Paris is so special to me. She is the one, I knew it the moment I met her," said Reinhardt, 23, to a reporter for the UK paper Daily Mail. "I am going to ask her to marry me but I can't say when. I don't want to ruin the surprise."

Reinhardt, who likes to play baseball and lurk around on American reality TV shows, has previously dated Lauren Conrad and Hairspray star Amanda Bynes.

Fun fact: His stepfather is the inventor of the frozen burrito.

Hilton, for her part, is equally gushy about her beau - whose full-time job at the moment seems to be following her about the place.

"We film every part of our lives so that we can show our children what crazy lives Mummy and Daddy lead," she told the Mail. "I'd love to get married and settle down. That's so cute."

Er, yes. Cute.

Of course, Paris has never been backward in coming forward when it comes to romance. She's already been engaged twice - once to Tommy Hilfiger model Jason Shaw, in 2002, and to Greek shipping heir Paris Latsis in 2005.

"I have never been so happy in my whole life," she said at the time of her engagement to Latsis, which must have made Shaw feel somewhat miffed.

Paris and mother Kathy had very quickly talked up wedding ceremonies in Athens and LA for the two Parises, despite the very public misgivings of his parents - until Hilton dumped Latsis a mere four months after their engagement.

Fickle much?

Last year, she dated Good Charlotte rocker Benji Madden for a whole nine months, picking up with the brother of Nicole Richie's fella, Joel Madden, immediately after his broken engagement to Aussie actress Sophie Monk.

After two months, her parents were dishing to the media about the still very new couple.

"This has honestly become the real thing," Kathy Hilton told the Vegas Luxe Life blog in April 08. "It's a great love match, and I have a funny feeling it's going to go all the way, and we've already given it our approval."

When we were kids and had those ‘funny feelings,' Dad would tell us to go sit on the toilet for a while.

Paris' dad Rick was also a paid up member of the Madden Fan Club. "He's the perfect example of ‘don't judge a book by its cover.' He's polite, well mannered - even calls me sir. We love him like family already."

Surprisingly, Benji withstood the pressure for most of last year, taking to wearing Paris Hilton for men cologne (with notes of ‘sky air, fig leaf and hydroponic basil') and swapped rings emblazoned with the pair's initials with the famous blonde.

"He wants to get hitched," she told People magazine in May. "We talk about it."

"I wear my feelings on my sleeve," Madden told the mag last October. I'm very open about how in love I am - Paris and I are very happy."

She'd dumped him by November.

I'm not going to lay into Paris Hilton. That would be like shooting fish in a barrel. Plus, you've probably heard it all before.

What you haven't heard is her little sister Nicky ranting on and on about the next guy she's going to marry, how in love they are, how many kids they're going to have. Coincidentally, Nicky manages to keep guys around for longer than her publicity-loving sister.

Despite her romances, that infamous sex tape and a prescription for Valtrex (a genital herpes medication) being found amongst her things when the contents of her storage locker were sold off due to non-payment, Hilton insists she plays hard to get when it comes to blokes.

"I've only ever done it with a couple of people," she told Glamour magazine late last year.

(If you'd believe that, you'd believe I'm next in line for sainthood after Mother Teresa.)

"People make up stories, but mostly I just kiss. I think it's important to play hard to get.

"Nobody wants the fake Prada bag - they want the brand new bag that no one can get and is the most expensive.

"If you give it up to a guy he won't respect you. He'll want you much more if he can't have you."

Peace talks dull battle between two Mrs Sheens

In other almost unbelievable news, it seems Denise Richards, possibly the most notorious ex-wife in Hollywood, has buried the hatchet with her ex-husband Charlie Sheen and his wife of a year, Brooke Mueller Sheen.

So much so, in fact, that Brooke and Denise were snapped out with Richards' daughters Sam, 5, and Lola, 3, in Los Angeles, playing nice. Both still had all their hair, no skin under their fingernails, and no visible wounds.

And hold on to your seats, folks, because apparently it's not the first time the two women have met up in a civilized manner. Rumour has it Charlie Sheen has also been present and accounted for at a couple of very mature dinners.

Who'd have thought they had it in them?

Certainly not me after Charlie and Denise's divorce was one of the ugliest and most fiercely contested in Hollywood history. There were allegations of porn addiction and child abuse. He demanded a boycott of her reality show, It's Complicated, and went to court to try and get an injunction to bar his daughters from appearing on it.

He alleged that Richards e-mailed him requesting a donation of his sperm so she could conceive a third child - claims to which she called ‘disgusting' and remarked that she didn't want his ‘prostitute-tranny-infested sperm.'"

Hee.

Sheen and Mueller, aka Brooke Allen, a bit part actress and ‘real estate investor', married in May last year. Their twin sons Max and Bob were born in March.

Spot the supermodel difference

Two Brazilian supermodels are reported to be in the family way this week. One's just been made official, while the other is a rumour flying around New York City which just won't quit.

Gorgeous Victoria's Secret model Adriana Lima has just confirmed she's expecting her first child with new husband, Serbian NBA player Marko Jaric, whom she married on Valentine's Day in the US.

"Adriana and Marko are overjoyed that they are expecting their first child together and are excited to share the happy news and start their family together," said reps for the couple.

The model, who hails from the Brazilian city of Salvador, is reported to read a Bible backstage at fashion shows and helps Brazilian orphans in her spare time. She also, famously, proclaimed that she would remain a virgin until she married.

(‘So perfect, said Maxim mag recently, ‘that her government uses her picture to make Brazilians not mind about all that City of God stuff'.)

Adriana, 27, shares more than a couple of similarities with another Brazilian who's been making news in gossip circles with rumours of a baby bump.

Gisele Bundchen also married a star sportsman (New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady) in February. She also found fame as a Victoria's Secret model, wed in relative secret three months ago, and has tried her hand at acting.

Sources just won't stop reporting that the new Mrs Tom Brady is in the family way, after sightings of the couple leaving a fancy New York doctors office hit the papers a couple of weeks ago. Certainly, Gisele has made no secret of her desire to start a family - and can you imagine how fabulous looking those kids would be?

Bundchen has got some hands-on experience with her husband's toddler son, John, whose mother is Brady's ex-girlfriend, Bridget Moynahan. So devoted is she to her stepson, in fact, that her comments that she felt the boy was ‘her own' got her into hot water with Camp Bridget a couple of months ago.
