A foray into the wild world of media was always an excellent choice for me, being inherently nosy with an extremely quick typing speed.

I graduated from AUT's Bachelor of Communication Studies in 1999 and, after working as a jack of all trades in New Zealand's online media, headed to the UK in 2001.

Stints as waitress, a PA, a three day employment at Starbucks, and an unfortunate period working in a sticker production factory around England took me away from media work, but Britain's insatiable appetite for smut was ever present. What's not to love about a place where magazine and newspapers adore Jordan, Big Brother, and the kiss and tell?

After a move to Dublin I worked as a legal secretary (employed by Bono's law firm, I sneaked a peek at his will), and sat next to Pierce Brosnan at a posh city restaurant. For the record, his table manners were impeccable.

Travelling around South America, Europe and the Middle East gave me an iron-clad stomach, the ability to swear in several different languages and proof that there is life outside gossip, but not that much.

I kid, I kid.

If I had my way Jack Black would be my drinking buddy, I'd get to feel up Dave Grohl, go on a girly holiday with Cameron Diaz and Drew Barrymore, and sterilise Paris Hilton - all the while looking like Eva Mendes with Jennifer Lopez's bank balance.

I have a shameless soft spot for mafia movies and am proud to stand up and be counted as a Coronation Street fan. I love English gossip mags, watching cricket (even the test matches) and hanging out with my husband Regan, who would like to abolish the E! channel. Surprisingly, we still manage to get along.

I live in central Auckland and would love a cat, but think the strays in my neighbourhood will beat it up.
