Law & Order plans Ledger-based episode

Producers have come up with a plot that features a male supermodel played by Ryan Locke.

A source on the NBC show revealed: "It's supposed to be about Heath Ledger.

"[Locke's character] has a great career and gets all the ladies."

But the character meets a premature end thanks to a drugs overdose.

The source told the New York Post's Page Six gossip column: "[The character] leaves a club with a girl. They have sex and do drugs, and the next morning, his friend finds him dead."

Brokeback Mountain star Ledger was found dead in his Manhattan apartment at the age of 28 in January after suffering a drugs overdose.

Meanwhile Heath's dad Kim Ledger fought back tears as he paid tribute to his late son picking up a Best Actor gong on his behalf at an awards show in Sydney, Australia.

Kim struggled to control his emotions at the GQ Men of the Year Awards, where Heath was honoured for his role as the Joker in the Batman Begins sequel.

The episode is expected to air in the new year.
