Could Beyonce shake it for Obama?

By Splash Barack Obama's inauguration could be spiced up with a performance from bootyshaking diva Beyonce Knowles.

The sexy superstar wants to unleash her alter ego "Sasha Fierce" on stage at the solemn event, to be held at the White House, Washington DC, in January.

But it's not as if the swearing in ceremony needs the extra boost - a staggering three million people are expected to pack into surrounding streets to witness a piece of history.

As the 2009 presidential inauguration draws closer, all eyes are on potential performers.

And if volunteers are needed, "Crazy In Love" singer Beyonce says she'll happily raise her hand.

"I know I'll definitely be there [at the swearing in]," she told one US magazine. "I want to be there to witness it."

As for performing, she added, "Of course I'd love to. Who wouldn't?"

The newlywed actress and designer also opened up about dancing with Justin Timberlake in a hilarious Saturday Night Live send-up of her new hit "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)".

"Justin Timberlake came by SNL, and I just happened to be in town," she said of the already-classic skit.

"I said, 'I'm not sure I want to do it.' ... But when they told me [he] would be a part of it, I said, 'I have to do this!' "

So how does she rate his skills as a leotard wearing backup dancer? "He's so hilarious!" she said. "He has the best timing."
