Fiddy takes drug test, takes son on holiday

By Splash Rapper 50 Cent has been granted permission to take his son on holiday - after he passed a drugs

The hip-hop star, real name Curtis Jackson, was told he could see 11-year-old Marquise after the test came back clean.

The 33-year-old In Da Club rapper, who was once jailed for selling crack cocaine, was in Suffolk County Court in Central Islip, New York, to ask Judge David Freundlich for permission to take the boy on holiday next month.

Freundlich ordered the him to take an on-the-spot drug test - at the request of the boy's guardian.

"I haven't seen my son in a while. That's why I came here today," the rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, said after he passed the test.

"It was a little bit of a bomb," the legal guardian, Theresa Mari, admitted afterward.

Mari did not object to the father-son get together once the test came back negative.

"I think it's beneficial for Marquise to spend time with his dad, and he wants to spend time with his dad," Mari said.

His ex-girlfriend and Marquise's mother, Shaniqua Tompkins, was also ordered to undergo drug testing.

Her results came back positive for opiates, but she blamed it on codeine-laced cough syrup she has been taking.

Tompkins, who has custody of Marquise, objected to the rapper, nicknamed 'Fitty', taking their child on vacation because it would interfere with the boy's basketball camp.

She was granted an order of protection against 50 Cent after someone set fire in May to the Long Island mansion where she and her son were living.

At the time, she accused the rapper, who owns the now-gutted $2.5 USD million house, of ordering the arson blaze.

Tompkins, who was forced to flee the fire with her son through a window, claimed it was payback for the lawsuit she filed seeking half of his $100 million USD fortune.

The rapper, who was in Louisiana at the time of the blaze, denied the arson charges and filed a $20 million USD defamation lawsuit against Tompkins.
