SATC star considering gay marriage

By Splash Sex and the City star Cynthia Nixon is ready to marry her female lover, she has revealed.

The actress, best known as red head Miranda, hopes New York will soon make same sex marriages legal so she can tie the knot with Christine Marinoni.

The 42-year-old mother of two ditched her boyfriend of 15 years to begin a lesbian relationship with Marinoni in 2003.

She said: "New York has no same sex marriage. I think one day soon hopefully it may and I think we would consider it."

Nixon was speaking on The Graham Norton Show.
